On the Issues
Shoreview is a well-run city with high quality public services for parks and recreation, trails, infrastructure, and police and fire services, all supported by a competitive property tax rate compared to other cities.
Here is how I’d like to add to our existing success:
- Help restore and diversify our tree canopy after losing so many ash trees from the Emerald Ash Borer.
- Encourage homeowners and businesses to reduce their property damage risk from greater precipitation with stormwater management techniques.
- Assist residents and businesses in achieving up to $2.3 million in energy savings as outlined in the city’s Energy Action Plan.
- Ensure that Shoreview remains a welcoming community for all.
- Support mixed housing that balances workforce housing demand and neighborhood needs.
- Attract new businesses to the city from a diverse set of industries.
- Prepare residents to participate in curbside food waste collection coming in 2025-2026.
